Say hello to mechanically separated chicken. It’s what all fast-food chicken is made from—things like chicken nuggets and patties. Also, the processed frozen chicken in the stores is made from it.
Basically, the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve—bones, eyes, guts, and all. it comes out looking like this.
There’s more: because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color.
But, hey, at least it tastes good, right?
High five, America!oh my god

If I don’t do anything else in life, at least I can say I helped feed Boston.
This is mostly for my own keepsake, but damn. I never thought it’d grow this large. —Me / iamnotevenperturb

Boston
It’s been a merely 8 months since I’ve moved to Boston, but it honestly feels like it’s been way longer. There have been times where I’ve been very homesick and I’ve hated it, but there is something about the city that keeps me enthralled. So when yesterday’s events took place, I was very shell-shocked but also angry. Why would anyone do something like that to this beautiful city during this beautiful tradition it has had for over 100 years? Boston is my home now (even if temporary) and I love it with all of my heart.
I was also very humbled and appreciative of all the texts and messages I got yesterday right after the news broke. Thank you for all of your concern and words of kindness; they made me feel like I truly have a very extensive support system across the country. Like I said before, me and my friends are all ok; we were nearby but out of harm’s way.
Please pray for those affected and send them all the well wishes you have sent me. Thank you again and know that I would do the same for you.
Sometimes i really miss House.
